It wasn’t quite the vacation I had planned.
I was imagining lots of campfire songs and marshmallows. Perhaps Uncle Michel would cook up some fresh fish. Alice and I would fall madly in love and perhaps start on little ones of our own. Sappy, right? Well sometime you dream.
Life however, it’s not all roses. I should know better. I do know better. Life doesn’t really care what you think or dream. It just moves forward. Even when you’re ready, it still manages to surprise you. Our first night out and tragedy strikes.
And the Grim isn’t very big on charity. No matter how much one begs.
Although I’d rented the place for two more days, they weren’t much of a vacation. We just hung around the cabin.
Eventually, Uncle Michel decided to go home early. He thought it would better to go to work on Monday, get his mind off things. Luthor and I talked.
I convinced him we should stay, didn’t want to lose our deposit. I would say it was fun, just the two of us.
Oh! I want to hug all of them! 😦
I love seeing that sentimental side of Bane. 🙂

Maybe a crossover legacy Tam and Bane lol!

LOL! I want to keep Tam away from Bane–mean and evil. Nope. All respect to self-determination aside…

Aww but he is such a character!

I love him. Just not so sure I want my mean Sim around that, you know?

And a husband named Bane! Who wouldn’t want that!

I thought the same thing, BBQ, they were both in Granite Falls at the same time too. And Bane’s only Evil, not mean…Art-lover, Evil, and Family Oriented. But I agree with CT. I wouldn’t wish evil on Tam. She deserves the very best.

Tam is the mean one! Since she’s mean, I’m trying to keep her away from evil. I don’t think she would bring out the best in Bane! Yeah… I was actually thinking that I wouldn’t wish Tam’s meanness on Bane!

Ha – well Connie is actually mean so perhaps they would have been perfect together! These two fight a bit, but they flirt just as often so they make up pretty quickly. Ah well, maybe next time we are both in need we can exchange spouses.

🙂 How fun! So far, the game hasn’t generated any evil or mean Sims for Tam–it’s a world of art-lovers now! I’m really looking forward to getting to know Connie!

Everyone was so mopey, I felt awful for making them stay.

Here I was, expecting fun around the campfire, and I was broadsided by this… got a taste of what your sims felt on that trip, I guess. My condolences to Bane and everyone she leaves behind.

Yeah – the title is a bit misleading. I’ll be sure to take them for another vacation so they don’t only have sad memories of Granite Falls.

My comment belies the frustration I’m feeling with my own game right now… there are so many deaths coming for a while now.

Aw, that’s stressful. I’ve just got these to left and they’re long due. So while there is sadness, it isn’t too much. Plus the last event to happen at camp, which I don’t write about since I failed to take a single shot, made me happy we’d gone. 8.12 is much happier, promise.

Shannon–this is so hard and we’ve all been through it and it can really rip up a person. So please reach out if you need a hug. You can PM me–or any of us,. I’m sure–at the forums, and we’ll be there with a cup of hot tea, a plate of blueberries, and a warm hug.

Thanks, Cathy! I appreciate it! Like your recent post, I’m playing through it. I may need a hug when Delaney’s time comes. I’ve been playing her since last November, but have decided no more youth potion. She’s had so much time now.

That’s a long time–I haven’t been with a Sim that long. Close, but not quite. I felt a twinge of sadness when I saw that screenshot of Delaney with Fiona in your recent chapter. Read my latest chapter for a new take on youth potion–in fact, you might want to read it before your next game-play session, as it offers an new type of option for our Sims.

You did a great job with this post, I thought, because it really made me empathize for your sims. I do that so often, don’t get a shot of really great moments.

Love this post. I love Bane’s voice. Also, for decades (well, Sim decades) I’ve been striving to get that shot of the white-light of spirit in Grim’s hand. Your shot of it is beautiful! Maybe we can still it at Purple Day? Oh! Maybe we should have a Purple Day event for sharing favorite Grim photos!

I have some great Grim photos since grim is my absolute favorite character. So anytime there’s a reaping I take it real slow, just in case. We should share grim photos for sure. That and grims behaving…interestingly. Like when the grim showed up in my game at the new gym for a massage.

Grim is my favorite, too. I love him. A massage for Grim! Did he derobe? Or rerobe?

I think EA messed up and forgot that grim is a regular sim. Sadly there was no actual massage just the grim going up to the massage tables hopefully and standing there, waiting. I think the masseuse (an older lady) was too nervous to do anything. She ended up walking away. Poor grim.
PS if you like grim, you’re going to LOVE my short story piece once I finish it.
