Huffman Legacy 1.5: I Was Born To Love You

“Arturo!?” Chana laughed. “Why are we here?”

Arturo just smiled. “Patience, patience.”

He grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the maze. He had the spot all picked out and he wanted the moment to be perfect.  He didn’t think she would say no, but the risk was always there. They stopped just inside the maze.

First things first. He wished he had his guitar, but that probably would have tipped Chana off for what he was doing. He’d practiced a Capella with Bella to prepare. He was as ready as he’d ever be.

Arturo is serenading Chana. They are both dressed up in their party clothes. Hearts come from his mouth as he sings. Chana is looking surprised.

Yup, she's very surprised, she's covering her mouth as he continues his song. I think she may know what he's doing.

And the song ends, Arturo is on one knee his hands clasped together.

He ended the song on one knee. Now for the hard bit. He didn’t have a lot of extra cash on hand and it felt wrong to be spending money on anything that wasn’t directly house-related. But he couldn’t really do this without a ring of some kind.

The rest of this blog is just images. Here Arturo unfolds his hands, producing a ring. Chana looks at it wide eyed. I think she wasn't expecting a ring.

Surprised has turned to joy. A heart escapes the ring (as hearts are want to do). It's looking like a yes!

Chana slips the ring on while Arturo (still on his knees) watches.

This was a fun pictures. Here we have Chana's pov looking down at a kneeling Arturo (a smile clearly on his face). We can see only her hand with the ring on it outstreched.

A light kiss from Chana to say, Yes - I'll marry you.

And Arturo grabs her by the waist and swings her into position for a passionate kiss. (She's looking a bit alarmed at his forwardness).

And another close up. This one is from below so we can see Arturo's face as he kisses her. I do like looking for interesting angles. (That and the fact that Bella and her husband were walking by trying to ruin my moment).

Chana is back on her feet but reluctant to end the kiss. She's pulling away very slowly.

Chana finally ends the kiss, her eyes glazed. She's thinking about only one thing.

Chana leads the way to the distant heart bush in the maze. (Mainly because with his lazy trait, Arturo only walks no matter how eager he might be).

The maze stretches behind Arutro and Chana who are looking speculatively at the heart bush - you know what they're about to do.

The bush is exuding more hearts into the air than normal. The sun is visible overhead.

Pulling back we see the hearts fading away and winding in to the sky.

Authors note: I hope you’re just as excited as I am for Arturo and Chana! Ignore the occasional snowy plants in the maze. I had the snow mod on for another game and forgot to turn it off. By the time I realized we were in the heart of the proposal so I couldn’t stop to fix it. I tried to compose the pictures around them so they weren’t too obvious. And of course Arturo’s song is by his favorite artist Freddie Celsius…er Mercury. It’s on youtube: I was Born to Love you.

  5. Aww, a Freddie Celcius proposal! And a Capella too! That takes so much talent and practice to pull off! (I’m such a fan of a Capella music, I would’ve melted… nice catch Chana!) ❤

    …And who says a little late-season frost on the garden can't be very romantic? ^_~

    • I had so much fun filming this! I kind of decided that important events should be pictures only. No annoying words to break up the flow of events. Hopefully they continue to work as well as the second half of this post.

    The bush woohoo is still my absolute favorite thing to come out of Get Together. When I first saw it I don’t think I could have stopped laughing!
