Bloopers and Outtakes: Family Portraits

I thought about showing more Arturo outtakes – and don’t worry I WILL, but I figured we should space him out. I’m not great at taking family photos at any time, but once in a while, I do.

Selfies are the easiest way to get “family photos.”

But then they all kind of end up looking the same.

And really, not all pictures should be selfies.

Most of the time, pictures of sims don’t feel like “camera” shots. (I include this because there is a picture of infant-me and my mum in this pose irl).

If only she would look at the camera – it would feel like Arty was there celebrating her first fish catching. But catching the right moment isn’t easy.

As a young adult, Sam was a bit of a photographer. I had high hopes he’d top the skill and get us a point for memorializing his parents. But alas, he only made it to level three.

It might be best to wait until your model isn’t terribly sad before trying to get a picture. Poor Chana! You can guess what day this was taken.

Although I didn’t think to have Sam grab his camera, we definitely got a first day of school picture of the twins.

I’m kind of a “stand here and hope” picture taker. Which makes for some interesting shots and LOT of unused pictures.

I don’t use poses often. But I really wanted a back hug. 

Sadly the pose isn’t really made for “non-model” sims like Karen and Sam. 

Her hand went right through her own stomach! I really didn’t think she was that big of a sim. (I still don’t think she is. Those models and their unrealistic body proportions!)

I wanted to get a family beach photo while the twins were still kids.

It was a night spent waiting a lot for everyone to look at me. (That never really happened – but a few didn’t end up too weird.)

I ended up setting them in swimwear and setting them loose on the beach.

This wasn’t my chosen shot since I wanted Pippin waving, but I just love how the twins are “holding hands” – so I’m sharing it.
