This is the drifter challenge that I’m playing for fun. You can learn all about it the challenge here and read or watch lots of folks trying it out. My game is just for fun – but I took a few more pictures this time around.
Generation 3
Final House Value: $46,106
This house took a while, but I lucked out since it was my only game with a potential toddler when toddlers was released which got me back into Drifting. Taylor is my first “official toddler” outside of the 7ToddlerChallenge and my toddler short story.
Game Notes: Salim was nicely employed in the writing career so we had some extra money coming in. But the fishing aspiration was intense enough that I really didn’t spend much time at home during Taylor’s childhood and teenagerhood. Catching the last 2 fish was quite painful, although once I opened the Grotto it was a snap to grab the rest of the fish and complete the whole collection! I noticed everyone was addicted to the workbench – it was more tempting than the computer! But it meant some extra cash from the uncontrolled sims as they carved every moment they could.
You can follow my spare twitter: @raereigames where I share in-game pictures as I play sims. So you don’t have to wait for me to publish.
So neat seeing how everything evolved over time. I’ll always remember my first toddler too. I have her as the background on my PC actually. The house looks great and I look forward to seeing more about Taylor-other than what I know already from Twitter of course. Glad that this got you back drifting!

It’s been a lot of fun coming back to it. Seeing the houses again is so much fun. I love how you added them to newcrest for your do-over. I will def add the houses to my other games.

Taylor is adorable!
And wow, that are many cowplants! Never saw so many together.
Nice style of the house, it does fit so well with the cowplants!

We managed to keep the four up and alive from planting until the end of the challenge! I’ve never managed that before. In my legacy I had two but once still died from neglect. Haha.
I love the cabin-y feel of this house! I never know what I’m going to do until it’s done, but this house turned out well. 🙂

I will have to blame the game for the color. I don’t actually modify the colors for this challenge. But somehow that lot is just perfect with the lighting. It really shines.

I really loved the concept in house three. It is probably my most unique build.

Taylor was my first ever toddler – the cutest of the cutest and will hold a special place in my heart for that alone. Plus Taylor loved to run outside among the cowplants in diapers. Haha. The images are forever burned into my memories of this house.
